DaBell and Paventy Orthodontics is looking for a motivated, outgoing, and friendly Patient/Treatment Coordinator to join our team! Must be able to work in a fast-paced office and always maintain a great attitude and superior customer service. This is a full-time position that will be travelling between clinics. Relevant experience required.
Job Descriptions
As a Patient Coordinator you will manage communication between patients, family members, doctors, and other healthcare providers/services. Your duties will include scheduling appointments, providing referrals to providers, and teaching patients about their health issues while working in a fast-paced dental office environment. You will enjoy working with children, and therefore must have an excellent work ethic, have compassion towards others, and have an outgoing personality, while maintaining a positive attitude. As a Patient Coordinator you will be a committed and engaged team player serving others.
Use multiple computer programs to manage data and chart tasks related to patient information.
Communicate with patients about their status and condition through emails, phone calls, texts, and face-to-face conversations.
Maintain and update patient accounts with contact information, insurance, and financial information in a confidential manner.
Schedule patient visits and answer questions, including billing and preparation.
Ensuring services comply with state and federal regulatory requirements.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces to ensure safety for everyone.
As a Treatment Coordinator you will gather information from the patient and coordinate a treatment plan with the doctor. Your duties will include explaining treatment options, related costs, and when applicable, negotiating financial arrangements with the patient or responsible party.
Determine dental benefit eligibility and payment estimates necessary to facilitate financial arrangements, when applicable.
Handle all treatment paperwork including consent forms, insurance forms and exit paperwork.
Communicate clearly and openly with patients about their treatment options and related costs and be prepared to handle objections to proposed treatment.
Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
No experience is required but the ideal candidate will have some relevant experience, including but not limited to the following:
- Superior customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care
- Ability to operate multiple computer programs effectively and efficiently
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the desire and ability to learn new skills and work well with a team
- One year of medical front desk experience, preferably in a dental environment
- One year of medical and dental insurance verification experience
Compensation starting at $20 per hour depending on experience.
