Senior Consultant – Y‑Hire® for Finance and Accounting
Job Description
Crowe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our dynamic Y‑Hire® for Finance and Accounting team within our Studio group. This role is focused on delivering high-quality Client Accounting Services (CAS) to a diverse client base. The Senior Consultant will serve as a key contributor in managing client engagements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting project execution, and providing advisory support to emerging and high-growth businesses.
This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and is looking to further develop leadership and advisory skills within a growing practice. This is a hybrid position, with 2-3 days in office each week to foster collaboration with the team and support client engagement.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day execution of client accounting engagements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
Prepare and review general ledger activity for coding accuracy, reconciliations, file completeness, and overall financial integrity
Prepare monthly Management Reporting Packages and supporting schedules for client delivery
Participate in client meetings to review financial results, discuss ongoing projects, and address questions
Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate communication of tax reporting requirements
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed
Provide technical accounting support in accordance with GAAP (and IFRS when applicable)
Ensure compliance with Crowe’s independence and risk governance framework
Support post-sale engagement execution by maintaining high service quality and identifying opportunities for expanded services
Mentor and provide guidance to Staff and Senior Staff Accountants, reviewing work and offering constructive feedback
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, maintaining strong project management and organizational skills
Support business development initiatives through participation in proposals, networking events, and relationship-building activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
3–6+ years of experience in outsourced accounting, Client Accounting Services (CAS), or public accounting
CPA, CMA, CGMA, ACCA, or progress toward certification preferred
Experience managing multiple clients or engagements simultaneously
Strong understanding of GAAP (IFRS experience a plus)
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving client needs
Proficiency with accounting and financial systems such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Bill.com, Ramp, ADP, Paycor, Gusto, Expensify, and advanced Excel
Travel up to 20–25% as needed
