Position Summary:
The Finance Assistant provides general administrative support to the Finance Team. Responsibilities include a wide range of clerical/administrative duties, organizational tasks, and project-based work contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate effective functioning of the department by providing general support to all areas of the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Reporting/Analytics.
• Utilize excellent customer service skills in serving as the initial point of contact for the department and in responding to both internal and external inquiries.
• Contribute to meeting effectiveness by scheduling, coordinating room set-up, providing administrative support, and acting as a minute-taker as needed.
• Aid in successful special project completion by providing administrative support, research, and data accumulation as requested.
• Prepare confidential documents and handle sensitive information with discretion and care.
• Support the implementation of new procedures, systems and workflows.
• Assist in maintaining organized filing systems, both physical and digital.
• Provide general office support by ordering supplies, managing office equipment and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Accurately input information into spreadsheets or various software platforms.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• All other duties as required.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of (1) year of experience working in an administrative support position.
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word; have the aptitude to learn additional computer software as necessary.
• New York State Notary Public Commission or willingness to meet necessary qualifications and apply for licensure.
• Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
