Required Skills:  

• This position is centered on developing and implementing a simulator application that tests network functionality in a controlled, simulated environment.
• The ultimate goal is to optimize the network’s performance, especially in real-world scenarios.
• The role requires close collaboration with technical leads, where you will offer recommendations, develop microservices, functions, and APIs, and work across various database environments in the cloud.
• You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and bug fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Simulation and Testing: Develop a simulator application to test network components like 4G/5G and VoLTE in a simulated environment. The aim is to improve the network’s performance by identifying issues and suggesting optimizations before they occur in real-life scenarios.
• Development in Telecom Environment: Design and implement software solutions that focus on network assimilation, network triaging, and protocols like LAN, WAN, and RAN.
• Microservices & APIs: Develop, deploy, and maintain microservices and APIs, ensuring they integrate well with the larger system architecture.
• Full Lifecycle Development: You’ll be responsible for the complete software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and bug-fixing.
• Collaboration with Technical Leads: Work closely with the technical lead, providing recommendations and implementing network automation functions.
• Database Management in Cloud: You’ll work with various database classes in a cloud environment, managing data that is essential for network simulations and analytics. 

Must Skills:
Networking Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of network assimilation, triaging, and protocols like 4G/5G, VoLTE, LAN, WAN, and RAN.
• Ability to navigate and resolve issues related to network protocols is critical, particularly in a telecommunications environment.
• Java Development Experience:
• Extensive experience with Java, specifically Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• You will need to use Java for backend development, handling microservices, APIs, and working in large-scale telecommunications applications.
• Full Stack Capabilities:
• Proficiency in Angular for frontend development to complement your Java skills on the backend.
• Telecommunications or Networking Experience:
• Hands-on experience in development within a telecommunications environment (such as working with RAN or network automation projects).
• Educational Requirement:
• A Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.

Wireshark or Similar Tools:

• Experience with tools like Wireshark (or similar) for network protocol analysis will be advantageous.
• Wireshark allows for packet capturing and analysis, making it an essential tool for network troubleshooting.

GSAP or PCAP Experience:

• Knowledge of GSAP (General Service Application Protocol) or PCAP (Packet Capture) will be beneficial.
• These protocols and tools are often used in analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with Teams:
You’ll work within a team focused on RAN network automation and analysis, collaborating with the technical lead to make recommendations and implement various functionalities.

Software Development:
On a daily basis, you’ll develop microservices and APIs to enhance the network’s capabilities, ensuring smooth data flow and processing.

Simulations for Network Optimization:
You will develop simulation environments to predict and optimize network performance under various conditions.

Cloud and Database Integration:
You’ll handle different types of databases in cloud environments, making sure the architecture is scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.
