Dinsmore is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal at our Cincinnati, OH location to support multiple attorneys in employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with litigation, compliance, administrative filings, and legal research related to labor laws, workplace policies, employee relations, and collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities
• Assist attorneys in all phases of labor and employment litigation, including discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research on employment laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Draft and revise legal documents such as employment agreements, policies, position statements, and correspondence
• Manage case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and agency requirements
• Assist with administrative filings before the EEOC, NLRB, DOL, and other regulatory bodies
• Review and organize employee records, contracts, and internal investigations.
• Support attorneys in responding to subpoenas, document requests, and wage/hour disputes
• Coordinate witness interviews and deposition preparations
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with attorney-client privilege
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certification (ABA-approved program preferred) or equivalent
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a labor and employment paralegal
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, NLRA)
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
• Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Experience in handling discovery and electronic filing procedures
