Machine Learning Reply Germany we work with our clients on leading-edge data project for which we are seeking DWH / Data Lake Consultants with a strong data engineering and IT background to serve our cloud based client projects in multiple industries.

Depending on project scope and your interest, you will be working across technical domains and industries.

Whether you are already experienced in executing data warehouse projects with a focus on Cloud Technologies (preferably Azure) or just graduated having gained first experience in data engineering technologies such as SQL or similar - If you never lose focus, are innovation driven, but with a passion for data-story-telling? Responsibilities:

• Formulate business needs and translate needs into technological requirements as part of a DWH/ cloud roadmaps and initial DWH architectures
• Develop Data Warehouse solutions with our clients based on their challenges
• Analyse raw data from client source systems, transform them and build poignant and succinct business applications
• Manage the transition from on-premise landscapes towards scaleable cloud frameworks including the tech stack of: Databricks, Cloudera, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Airbyte, and adjacent services
• Lead an implementation project and communicate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers & Solution Architects
• Engage our clients by providing business cases, qualitative assessments and demos
• Communicate and present results effectively and confidently to the clients in meetings and workshops with keen attention to detail and overall goal

Requirements

• Deep understanding of integrating a multitude of different source systems and connectors in an orchestrated and performant way using on premise and cloud technologies (Azure preferred) Strong knowledge of SQL, database technologies, data modeling techniques (star schema / data vault / snowflake) and the ability to consult on benefits and drawbacks
• Experience and/or interest in shaping our clients technological data landscape from an architectural perspective including good understanding of digitalization of BI & ML business models and their disruptive impact on corporations
• Master’s degree and a strong quantitative background, for example in Business Informatics, Business Science (with an additional background in Informatics), Computer Science (with additional background in Economics) or similar
• Fluent in English and German (or a strong motivation to learn the language)
• Ability to convincingly communicate results to upper management level
