Job Description

As a Product Manager, you’re working in a multi-disciplinary team of Business and IT colleagues to deliver the best Consumer Lending journey in the Dutch market. As the business representative in your squad you own the end-to-end customer journey for customers applying for a loan. Thanks to your Product Management knowledge and affinity with data and IT, you know exactly how to devise a product roadmap and you can deliver on it with your team and supporting teams.

Role and responsibilities 

The Product Manager role encompasses a wide range of aspects such as customer experience, product management, data analyses and IT. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can take the lead in improving the loans platform, improving existing and building new features to drive growth for the Product area Loan Origination.

• You are responsible for relevant parts of the loan product Installment Loans and/or Overdraft and the associated processes.
• You ensure that customer concepts are converted into IT solutions for front and backend
• You work together with teams outside of your own product area and outside of your department
• You consult risk departments about your plans
• You gather and analyze data about our process performance and platform stability

• You are fluent in the English and have or will gain a working knowledge of the Dutch language (verbally and written)
• University degree
• 5+ years of professional experience as a product manager or consultant in the financial sector. Experience in Consumer Lending is highly preferred.
• You have demonstrable experience in process digitalisation and close collaboration with IT specialists
• You are skilled at setting up and coordinating projects, while being sensitive to the wider dynamics and building consensus
• You succeed in balancing the necessary legislative compliance with customer interests
• You are able to explain complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including by using your strong analytical skills
• You are results-oriented and quick to turn thoughts into actions
• You are a real team player
