Job Description
Eurofins Clinical Trial Solutions is looking for a seasoned kit packing leader to join our team!
The Director, Global Kit Packing will manage and oversee the Kit Packing facilities to achieve operation objectives that have been outlined by the VP, EU Operations and Kit Production. The Director, Global Kit Packing will implement quality control that is outlined by standard operational procedures (SOP) and health and safety regulations. The Director, Global Kit Packing will be expected to provide their leadership team with directions on materials, equipment, and expectations. The Director, Global Kit Packing will ensure project/department milestones/goals are met, while adhering to the budget that has been provided. Ultimately – always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensure that Oosterhout and Louisville Kit Packing facilities consistently produce outstanding quality achieving the required specifications and order quantities
- Ensure that the production lines operate efficiently and safely
- Maintain day-to-day operations, monitor orders, and client/product related issues
- Maintain quality service by enforcing and enhancing organization standards
- Manage and develop all department Managers and interfacing with department heads at within the broader Central laboratory
- Establish and maintain appropriate KPI’s, headcount levels, overtime levels and employees instead of temp workers.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and escalate issues appropriately for discussion/ resolution
- Research and recommend new opportunities; recommend profit and service improvements
- Manage facility operations and design and develop long term expansion plans
- Identify product/process improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, safety standards and regulations, market activities, and competitors
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Develop ‘best practices’ in collaboration with Global Central Laboratory leaders.
- Enhance the department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Manage operations to ensure that all established policies and procedures are being properly executed.
- Manage third party vendors
Qualifications
The ideal candidate:
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of plant management experience.
- Fluent in English, other languages of operating sites is an advantage
- Experience in chilled, short shelf-life, just-in-time packaged production
- Experience managing multiple locations approximately 100 employees each
- Experience managing financial statements and financial metrics
- Clinical Trials Experience is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, required
- Master’s degree, preferred
