Hardware Systems Engineer - Senior - A455

TLA is seeking a forward leaning self-starter capable of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Daily activities include:

• Performance of traditional Systems Engineering activities at the project level and provide systems engineering support across multiple technology areas.
• Provide project management support, development of requirements, and development of project plans, integration and test support for Software defined radio capabilities.
• Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
• Provide SE support to assess and evaluate innovative research and technological applications relevant to the supported project areas aligned to the program roadmap.
• Assisting in identifying, assessing, documenting, tracking, tracking program requirements and coordinating follow-on and vendor technical exchange meetings (TEMS).
• Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.
• Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements.
• Assist in reviewing technical related acquisition documentation and activities.
• Identify integration issues and coordinate and participate in Technical Exchange Meetings to resolve them.
• Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
• Creating reports and briefings that describe project progress and control gate deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• BS and 12+ years of experience; Masters and 10+ years; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required
• Understanding of RF communications
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams to develop/implement hardware/software requirements
• Embedded Systems and wireless communication experience
• Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF communications
• Experience with high level system design and system engineering processes for hardware-based solutions
• Ability to distill high level requirements into system requirements
• Familiarity with print circuit board design and PCB design process
• Familiarity with ASIC design processes
• Familiarity with FPGA integration and programming
• Familiarity with power supply design
• Familiarity with component, PCB, and system level test including environmental testing
