F&B Full Service Opportunities - (Waitperson / Bartender)

WAITPERSON:

Responsible for serving food and/or beverages to the guests according to established standards. Maintains guest satisfaction and keeps dining area clean at all times.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that guest receive prompt, friendly and personalize service. Suggestively sells food and beverage items by possessing knowledge of menu items and ingredients. Ensures that orders are taken and placed accurately, checks on tables, provide condiments, replenish drinks and/or bread.
• Follows cash handling procedures including the ability to operate cash register system.
• Ensures adherence to the Florida State Liquor Statutes.
• Maintains positive guest satisfaction by answering questions, accommodating special requests, appropriately handles to complaints to the guests’ satisfaction and/or solicits assistances from the managers.
• Pre-buses tables, maintains area, organize and clean service stands and complete side work.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

BARTENDER: 

Responsible for the day to day operation, maintenance and cleanliness of a specific bar. Welcomes and greets guests, verifies age identification of all guests to ensure compliance with Florida Liquor Laws. Assists guests in selections of drinks and suggestively sells specialty, promotional and premium liquors. Responsible for quality and portion controls, completing transactions accurately and efficiently, and ensuring guests are not over served. Fills orders placed by wait staff.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures adherence to the Florida State Liquor Statutes at all times. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and for waitpersons to serve to guests. Provides excellent guest service by interacting and conversing with guests.
• Follows all established recipes and procedures in alcoholic beverage preparation. Possesses full knowledge of all products available. Follows HACCP procedures and ensures all portions and pours are accurate.
• Operates cash register accurately and rings all items into the POS system. Follows all established cash handling procedures.
• Changes and maintains draft beer and liquor dispensing system and ensures work area is well organized and kept clean.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: 

Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests and to servers to serve to guests.

EDUCATION: 

High school degree or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years bartending and/or waitperson experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
