Details of Research Project: 

 

The Postdoc fellow Dr. Chenye Chen will perform advanced biomedical research on glioma biology and glial interaction in brain disorders. Specifically, Dr. Chen will design new genetic reporters for fate mapping brain tumor cells during GBM progression and how they interact with tumor microenvironment.  

Technical Duties: (include any protocols)

Mouse genetics, genotyping, molecular cloning, single cell sequencing, biochemistry technique, Western blots, qRT-pCR, cell culture, live cell imaging, bioinformatics.   

Educational and other Requirements for the position: Ph.D. in biomedical science

Experience Required: molecular and cellular biology

 

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: By combining mouse genetics, transcriptomics, in vitro and in vivo studies, the study will illuminate fundamental mechanisms of malignant potency of GBM and explore new therapeutic strategies.

 

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $73,588.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
