This is the person at the heart of our Incident Command operations, expertly navigating a multifaceted team of diverse stakeholders through the disruptive cycle of a cybersecurity incident with unwavering focus and expertise. During periods of calm, this professional dedicates their expertise to developing and reinforcing preventive measures, proactively fortifying our defenses to preclude future cybersecurity incidents.

Your Impact

  • Strategist and Tactician - As the Incident Command Lead, you'll be responsible for analyzing and understanding the complex landscape of potential threats - With a strategic mindset, you'll develop and refine the Incident Command operational playbooks, ensuring our strategies are robust and effective in addressing these threats - Your role is crucial in preparing and guiding our team through various cybersecurity challenges with precision and foresight
  • Communicator and Diplomat - In the heat of a cybersecurity incident, this individual stands as the linchpin between various teams and stakeholders - Their communication isn't just clear - it's compelling, bringing together diverse groups under a common banner of security and resilience
  • Analyst and Scholar - With an eye that misses nothing, our lead delves into global cybersecurity breaches, extracting lessons and insights that we can use to shape our defenses, turning potential vulnerabilities into bastions of strength
  • Investigator and Influencer - You will delve deep into the root causes of security incidents, identifying key vulnerabilities and crafting targeted corrective actions - Your expertise extends beyond technical acumen, as you will persuasively present these strategies to key decision-makers, securing their commitment to implement necessary changes - Your ability to analyze, propose, and influence ensures that our defenses evolve continuously, keeping pace with the ever-changing landscape of cyber threats

We are seeking an individual who will not only rise to the occasion but will redefine what it means to be one step ahead of the malicious actors.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 8+ years hands-on experience as an Incident Commander or related role - Experience across the breadth of cybersecurity practices is desirable
  • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both the business and technical sides of the business
  • Experience with adversarial tactics through an offensive (e.g. Red Team-related roles) or defensive (e.g. Blue/Purple Team, Network Security roles etc.)
  • Experience explaining impact of identified security issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Problem solving and analytical skills gained through cybersecurity experience
  • Experience with a broad range of technology paradigms, especially, enterprise IAM, networking, and Cloud-native engineering

Education

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related area or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
