What You’ll Do 
We are actively searching for a Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in propelling our partner ecosystem platform forward. We are in pursuit of a seasoned professional, renowned for their ability to craft flawlessly precise user interfaces and possessing a profound comprehension of user-centric design principles.  

In this role, you'll be actively engaged in the process of creating value for our partners and unlocking fresh revenue streams for our business. Your contributions will be instrumental in forging straightforward, informative, and effortlessly navigable interfaces. Moreover, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work on an entirely new application, harnessing cutting-edge technologies and tools to deliver outstanding results.

Who You Are  

• Stay up to date with the latest development tools and best practices. 

• You’re independent, self-motivated and can stay efficient and productive without someone looking over your shoulder all day long. 

• Able to work remote and are based in the United States or a similar time zone (we also have an office in Ellicott City, Maryland) 

• Can gather and break down requirements into engineering tasks, provide realistic development estimates, and provide updates on ongoing progress towards those deliverables.  

• Has a track record of efficiently delivering high-quality products. 

• Recognizes the accomplishments of the team before the individual and actively fosters an innovative and inclusive work environment.  

• Enjoys solving problems and you have a passion for creating polished and professional user interfaces.
   

What You’ll Bring  

• 4+ years of building web applications that have been successfully delivered to customers. 

• Strong expertise in React (or comparable e.g. Vue). 

• Familiar with compound components and modular coding best practices. 

• Proficient in Typescript. 

• Strong expertise in modern HTML, CSS, and accessibility best practices. 

• Experience with GraphQL (preferably Apollo) and REST API. 

• Experience in communicating with technical teams and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs. 

• Experience crafting complex data sets into easily understandable visualizations and dashboards. 
    

Nice to have: 

• Worked with multiple UI themes (dark/light modes) 

• Material UI 

• D3, or other data visualization libraries 

• Storybook 

• CSS/JS animations and transitions 

• Familiar with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure)   
   

How You’ll Make an Impact   

• Implement user-centric features for business-critical web applications.  

• Translate user stories and technical requirements into functional code.  

• Implement re-usable front-end application components.  

• Provide subject matter expertise and direction on front-end application architecture and UI design.  

• Partner with other engineers, UX designers, product managers, and customers to refine and build complex products. 

• Support fellow engineers through feedback, code reviews, and advancement of internal tools and processes.  

• Coordinate with backend engineers on web services design. 

• Follow software-engineering best practices in usability, code quality, test coverage, source control, and CI/CD.  

• Help build and deliver business solutions to our customers that support the streamlining and automation of various pieces in the Blackpoint Cyber ecosystem.
