Role Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.

This is a permanent, full-time, in-office position.

Location: Charlotte, NC.


Responsibilities :
- Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checks.
- Manage relations with customers or third party inspectors.
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events.
- Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets.
- Manage customer witness inspections.
- Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality.
- Create awareness in the Leadership community regarding what opportunities have been discovered or developed and how to realize them.
- Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to QC activities.
- Offer all documents as per QAP to customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries.
 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience as Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

- Due to job applications, candidate must be an US citizen.

- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Experience / Skills:

- Quality Programs: 10CFR50 App. B, NQA-1, CAN N299, NR-NBIC, and NPT-ASME Section III.
- Experience in Nuclear Industry.
- Understanding of product / process flow.
- Strong organizational skills.
