Job Description
The Director - Executive Strategy is a critically important role enabling the President, Global Customer Operations to work most effectively with internal and external stakeholders and will serve as the OGCO (Office of Global Customer Operations) strategy lead. They will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, playing a critical role in driving the commercial strategy and execution of business initiatives for the OGCO.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic counsel to VP, Global Customer Operations and President on all external market matters, including internal, customer and analysts.
- Support positioning ServiceNow as a thought leader in the industry.
- Understand the broader market landscape and needs of various audiences, regularly evolving to reflect changes to business priorities, supporting narratives, and the external environment.
- Work closely with the OGCO to ensure President is fully prepared for all external engagements, with a POV that resonates with the audience.
- Be on the forefront of AI innovation: ensure we are equipping the President, Global Customer Operations with the latest AI insights, tailored strategies, and technology to ensure our strategy and customer-work lands with maximum impact
- Prepare comprehensive presentations and reports for executive leadership team, including Board of Director meetings, Financial Analyst day, critical executive cadences
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Use data to evaluate communication activities and develop best practices and strategies for improvement. Design and maintain dashboards, performance metrics and reporting tools that help track commercial KPIs.
- Ensure Global Customer Operations strategy is aligned to 1-3 year growth targets and strategy is connected to execution initiatives
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives with leadership team and collaborate with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance and Operations to ensure alignment and execution of GTM strategies
- Serve as proxy for VP, Global Customer Operations in select meetings and initiatives
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 10+ years management consulting experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a strategic or commercial role within the enterprise software industry.
- Proven track record of supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional project management skills with a focus on delivering results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience crafting executive-level thought leadership and social strategies aligned to external visibility programs.
- Experience of crafting and designing presentations for executives.
- Ability to manage through ambiguity.
- Must be a self-starter with an innate ability to think outside of the box.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $189,100 - $331,000, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
