Our Global Supplier Strategy & Development (GSSD) organization at Raytheon offers an excellent opportunity to lead a growth-oriented team driving a unified international Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) approach that integrates key international suppliers and sites into Raytheon’s operating model.
As the Associate Director, International Supply Chain Strategy, this position leads a team of OSC professionals in charge of creating and implementing international sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background that combines a strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial mindset and a bias for action. In addition, a strong desire and ability to effectively lead and develop others is key.
Main objectives are to support business growth by providing alternatives to 1) Reduce capacity constraints; 2) Meet international capture and industrialization needs; 3) Strengthen supply base resiliency via dual sourcing. Typical projects include second sourcing initiatives, support to international captures, and industrial participation, typically with new or emerging international suppliers.
This position will be Onsite. Relocation assistance is not provided.
What You Will Do:
- Leadership: lead 6 direct reports, responsible for developing and implementing country- and regional-level OSC strategies; includes identifying, assessing, and onboarding new suppliers
- Alignment and collaboration: ensure connectivity with key functional and SBU stakeholders in international initiatives, including Global Industrialization, Global Trade, Requirements & Capabilities, Engineering, SBUs, others
- Process standardization: develop standard processes to improve strategy development and implementation; drive digital tools development and enhancements
- Strategic decision-making: provide directions for the team developing second sourcing or international industrial participation projects. Guide strategic assessment of proposed business solutions, including partner selection, project evaluation and development, and financial valuations
- Program management: responsible for supporting applicable internal and external project reviews, including with international suppliers and customers
- Executive engagement: regular reporting and presentations to Raytheon and RTX Executives
- Travel: international and domestic travel as needed (up to 25%)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 12 years’ experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Business Strategy, Manufacturing, Program Management, or similar role
- Experience in supplier management, manufacturing, business-level strategy, or program management, especially in international settings
- Leadership experience managing a team of professionals, including a mix of supervisors and individual contributors
- Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience managing geographically dispersed cross-functional teams
- Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and USG export/import requirements
- Practical experience with offsets/localization/industrial participation and proposal management experience are a plus
- Program Management, Supply Chain (MPM, SPM, SCM) or other related industry certifications (PMP, CPSM, CSCP, etc.)
