About this position: Junior Engineer in Norfolk, VA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Schedule and coordinate daily onsite work.

·         Completion of daily production reports.

·         Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to project management as necessary.

·         Maintaining and updating the schedule.

·         Confirmation that materials used onsite are the materials that have been submitted and approved.

·         Perform site walks for new work and assisted in Project bids with contractor coordination.

·         Participate in team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and project requirements are met.

·         Conduct fieldwork, inspections, or testing as required to gather data and support engineering activities.

·         Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

·         Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree

·         Level of Experience Requirements: 0-1 years related experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suites, Adobe, RMS, and Bluebeam

·         Knowledge of organizational procedures and workflows – understanding how work moves through a company.

·         Basic knowledge of relevant technologies or tools – e.g., Microsoft 365, communication platforms, or industry‑standard software.

·         Knowledge of customer service practices – principles of providing quality service and managing inquiries professionally.

·         Knowledge of data privacy and confidentiality principles – awareness of proper handling of sensitive information.

·         Communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

·         Time management and prioritization – balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
