Transportation Driver/CNA - FT - Days (73149)

Hours: 7AM - 3:30PM

JOB SUMMARY

The Transportation CNA/Driver loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and HLTC standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred. CNA Diploma from an accredited CNA Program required and as evidenced by primary source of verification.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in Georgia, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per HLTC standards. Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred.

Experience: Customer service oriented. Should possess good marketing and communication skills.

Skills:

• Must be knowledgeable of activities practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing activities functions in the post-acute care facility
• Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the activities department
• Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: transportation responsibilities, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Must be able to safely load, transport, and unload patients
• Should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. This position requires a considerable amount of walking. Associate must be able to drive a vehicle. Associate should be able to sit and stand as tolerated.

Tasks assigned to position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious disease, air contaminants and hazardous chemicals. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, associates and visitors.
