Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Ground Transport

We are seeking a part-time experienced RN for Pediatric Ground Transport. 3 years in PICU or other relevant ICU setting required.
Shift: Part Time 2 x 12-hour D/N rotation.
Our nationally recognized, 226-bed Inova Children’s Hospital houses comprehensive medical services and specialists who focus on the unique treatment of younger patients. Inova Children's Hospital is an award-winning, full-service children’s hospital devoted to the healthcare of infants, children and adolescents in the Northern Virginia area.
As Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric Ground Transport, you will facilitate specialized transport of critically ill and hospitalized children in a safe and expeditious process in order to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. To help achieve our mission, you will be actively involved as a member of the Transport team while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor to team members. Assuming responsibility in maintaining advanced pediatric assessment skills in the delivery of care for specialized groups of patients is of vital importance. Your demonstrated leadership skills in decision making and problem solving are essential. Ensuring that the team is used efficiently and assists with transport triage in conjunction with the Medical Control Officer and/or the Medical Director is required.

Requirements:
3 years in PICU or other relevant ICU setting required. 3 years of previous transport experience preferred.
Education: BSN or MSN
Certification required: BLS, PALS, TNCC or ATLS.
CCRN eligible or plan to obtain CCRN within 6 months-1 year of hire.
RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
Proficient computer skills required.
