Overview
The Business Services Director holds operational ownership over the essential infrastructure and central systems that keep Salem State University running smoothly every day. In this role, you will manage a diverse and tangible portfolio—from overseeing the university’s vehicle fleet, gas card program, and surplus property disposition to directing the campus copier program, asset tracking, and mail services. You will bring sharp financial oversight to the division by directly managing budgeting, accounting, and accounts payable across these core central services, while collaborating closely with the ClipperCard program's administrative operations. Combining strategic management with hands-on execution, you will also play a key role in drafting and modernizing institutional policies, ensuring our teams, documentation, and campus-wide web resources are positioned for long-term success.
Salem State University is where professional ambition and community purpose meet. As the Commonwealth's Civic Engagement University and a proud Hispanic-Serving Institution, we have a deep commitment to the students, employees and neighbors who make up our university community. Our staff are integral to everything we do, from supporting first-generation college students to advancing civic engagement across the North Shore. If you're looking for a career that challenges and fulfills you, and a team that celebrates who you are, we'd love to welcome you to Salem State.
