Principal Purpose of Position:
- Completing analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
- Interpret and analyze complex data sets to identify trends and patterns
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
- Assisting account managers and central marketing team with understanding reports and data sets
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for enhancing current analytics and reporting systems
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
- Enhancing existing data sets with third party sources of information when needed
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Education and/or Training:
- Four year college degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in data science, mathematics, statistics, or computer science
- Proficient in Python and Power BI.
Relevant Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of analytics or data science experience. Automotive or marketing experience a plus.
- Great communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
- Experience in data visualization tools
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Data-oriented personality
