Qorvo is a place to stretch your imagination and push boundaries to achieve success.</p> <p> </p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Based in Qorvo Office, Toulouse (France), Sophia Antipolis (France) or Dublin (Ireland), part of the Connectivity System Business Unit Mobile Product Line, the Senior Hardware Applications Engineer will contribute to the development of UWB device prototypes, development boards and reference designs implementing Qorvo UWB ICs, targeting the development of Mobile phone applications and products. As such, he/she will be responsible for developing and testing PCB boards, for reviewing &amp; debugging customers’ mobile phone hardware, in close collaboration with the software development and integration teams as well as with end-customers. In this role, he/she will be implementing Qorvo’s Ultra-Wideband wireless technology in combination with the suitable software stacks and modules.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Provide hardware technical support &amp; expertise to Qorvo Mobile, Tier 1 accounts, for all Qorvo UWB products and solutions</li> <li>Assist customers directly and indirectly (through local sales, FAE teams, other BUs’ peers, Qorvo partners) in their UWB hardware developments, test &amp; validation, performance improvements and integration</li> <li>Interact with (and take advise from) Sr Hardware &amp; RF Applications Engineers, lead software architect and software integration manager</li> <li>Contribute to customer acquisition and design win value</li> <li>Produce technical documentation to the highest standards to drive customer understanding of Qorvo technology and the optimum ways in which to use it in specific applications and use cases. This includes Data Sheets, User Guides, and Application Notes.</li> <li>Reproduce, analyze, and solve technical issues seen on customer platforms in the laboratory to meet customer performance expectations</li> <li>Develop Qorvo’s UWB hardware know-how related to Mobile applications and share with other Mobile Applications teams in the regions</li> <li>Will be involved with Reference Design - hardware engineering activities - with leading suppliers of Mobile Application Processors, of Secure Elements and of other communication media ICs including NFC, WiFi and BLE.</li> <li>Participate to project follow up meetings – internal &amp; external - including weekly meetings with Qorvo local teams and customers as required</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bachelor or MSEE degree in hardware electrical / RF engineering</li> <li>10+ years of relevant industry experience with a strong focus on RF and ideally on UWB and / or on Mobile phone design and debug</li> <li>Proficiency with hardware design (component selection, schematic, PCB layout) with a focus on digital, RF and antennas</li> <li>Experience in the Semiconductor industry and / or on the mobile phone industry highly desired</li> <li>Experience with NFC and Secure Elements is a plus</li> <li>Experience with the use of radio test tools &amp; environments including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, anechoic chambers etc.</li> <li>Excellent communicator (internal and external), and at ease with customer facing</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously</li> <li>Respond well to pressure</li> <li>Team player</li> <li>Ability to work on multiple projects / clients simultaneously and to manage priorities</li> <li>Think creatively</li> <li>Likes to work in complex projects involving multiple parties and work packages spread among several teams and stakeholders</li> <li>Understanding of the Customer</li> <li>Work across different cultures</li> <li>A problem-solving approach and a strong desire to see the customer succeed</li> <li>Ability to travel to APAC and USA (up to 20% of time)</li> <li>English: Fluent</li> </ul> <p>MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT QORVO  </p> <p> </p> <p>We are Qorvo.
