Job Summary

This part-time Advisor & Curriculum Support offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of students in the Human and Social Services (HMS) program. The role combines academic advising, curriculum development, and supporting instruction, making it ideal for individuals passionate about education and community impact.

Candidates should be based in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, have a background in human services, counseling, social work or related field, and be comfortable working independently while collaborating with faculty and students.

Job Duties:

  • Provide academic advising and career planning support to Human Services students
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty on the redevelopment of online HMS and/or SWK (Social Work) courses
  • Teach up to one course per semester (if qualified and assigned)
  • Participate in departmental meetings as needed to support student engagement and program success

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the human and social services sector
  • Experience in academic advising, student support, or postsecondary education
  • Strong communication, organization, and technology skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, LMS platforms)
  • Must be able to work independently. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline
  • College-level teaching experience (preferably at a community college)
  • Familiarity with local community agencies and educational pathways
  • Experience in online course development or hybrid instruction
  • Experience working at the community college level.
