In this role, you will
- Support quality engineering activities related to Aurora internal hardware design, Aurora internal manufacturing, OEM interaction (APQP/PPAP), Contract manufacturing interaction (APQP/PPAP), supplier interactions (PPAP) and ISO 9001 compliance/certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years in quality assurance - automotive manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics or equivalent field experience.
- Analytical abilities and comprehensive understanding of the quality assurance tools and techniques: failure testing, statistical process control (SPC), 8D Problem Solving, 5-Why, quality audits, control charts, process capability analysis, Gage R&R, acceptance sampling, DOE, MSA, …
- Knowledge of Six Sigma Process, APQP, PPAP and FMEA
- Experienced in ISO-9001 and IATF 16949
- Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties.
- Ability to travel to company locations in the continental U.S.
- Ability to travel to contract manufacturers outside the continental U.S.
The base salary range for this position is $163,000-$261,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
