Working Student - Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Ready to transform the way the world enjoys coffee? Join us!You support our Data Engineering team in building, maintaining, and optimizing our IoT data pipeline for next-generation espresso machines. As a working student, you will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like Databricks and Delta Lake while contributing to impactful projects in the coffee tech industry:

• Developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines on Databricks.
• Optimizing Delta Lake performance and implementing data transformations.
• Assisting with real-time and batch data ingestion from IoT devices.
• Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Documenting workflows and supporting team members with technical troubleshooting.

• You developed and deployed at least one data pipeline that processes IoT data for espresso machines.
• You are proficient in using Databricks and Delta Lake, including implementing performance optimizations.
• You enhanced the reliability of our IoT data pipeline by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
• You contributed to team projects and gained a strong understanding of IoT data flows in the coffee tech space.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• You have initial experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or similar big data tools.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL is required; experience with Spark is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work independently on technical tasks.
• Fluent in English.
