Adjunct Instructor, Educator Preparation

The Department of Educator Preparation at High Point University invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor. Teaching/Supervision responsibilities include face-to-face instruction for most courses. Residency courses require online instruction at scheduled times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Minimum Requirements: Earned Master’s Degree in Education or a related field

Experience and Training

• Preference will be given to candidates with practitioner and higher education teaching experience

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

• Leadership skills and practitioner-based education experiences
• Effective pedagogical practices
• Current educational standards and expectations in the course content

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Face-to-face instruction per scheduled course requirements or scheduled online instruction for residency courses
• Teaching towards student mastery of course objectives
• Maintaining high expectations for all students

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Educator Preparation
