Step into a high-impact finance and accounting leadership role where your support and analysis directly shape business decisions at scale. The Finance Manager, Global Responsibility, supports all financial and accounting related activities for the Walmart Foundation, the Associate in Critical Need Trust and Walmart Inc. philanthropic efforts. As a Finance Manager, you’ll partner with cross-functional leaders on financial statement reporting, performing internal controls, building the financial plans, supporting external audits, delivering forecasts, and filing tax returns. The position drives continuous improvement in accounting operations and supports strategic business initiatives by providing insightful financial analysis. You’ll also strengthen financial controls and reporting transparency, helping protect the integrity of our results while enabling smarter, faster decisions.About The Finance Team:
The Global Responsibility Finance team supports accounting, risk management and internal controls across various legal entities. The team helps allocate resources wisely, manage risk, and deliver sustainable growth by turning performance data into actionable insight. We operate as strategic partners to the business—connecting accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and decision support with accurate financial reporting and strong governance and controls. Focused on continuous improvement, the team drives process enhancements and upholds rigorous standards in financial analysis, internal controls, and corporate accounting to support Global Responsibility’s strategic goals.
What you'll do...
- Support business processes and accounting for Global Responsibility team (includes Walmart Foundation and the Associate in Critical Need Trust).
- Assist with overhead reporting and analysis for Global Responsibility team.
- Support external audits and tax filings for philanthropic entities.
- Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Strengthen control structures to reduce misstatement risk and improve reporting transparency.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote financial objectives and initiatives, providing strategic insights and support to drive decision-making and financial planning.
- Experience in accounting and financial reporting, including knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and audit frameworks.
- A track record of supporting multiple cross-functional projects.
- Strong skills in process improvement to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- A growth and development mindset—you challenge legacy practices and introduce new ways of working.
