The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

RTX Enterprise Applications Services has an opening for a Financial Applications Principal Specialist – SAP (OTC/SD) (Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation).  Individual Contributor Role.  Remote Opportunity.

Team:  This team supports the delivery of high-quality application services primarily to United States Users.  Exciting opportunity to take challenges in unfamiliar areas, work independently, and have the opportunity to utilize excellent communications skills!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) team
  • Focus on Sales Order and Contract Set Up and Maintenance, and the Delivery Process, as well as Billing, especially Resource Related Billing, and including Sales and Use Taxes; as well as involvement with the SD Master Data Maintenance Process
  • Provide expertise and delivery for the SD functional life cycle phases.
  • Apply SAP SD configuration, along with an understanding of Sales and Distribution processes, especially Sales Order and Contract Set Up and Deliveries, and how the processes interact across other SAP modules such as Timekeeping, Project Systems, Controlling and Finance
  • Work with a multi-disciplined User base to support system change requirements, develop functional specifications, and support project execution
  • Act in a functional capacity with the expectation that individual will be supporting Order To Cash business processes across multiple SAP SD functions and must ensure solutions meet internal User needs and Service Level Agreements, while also ensuring compliance with the Department of Defense (DOD) Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Contract and Billing requirements
  • Prepare functional requirement specifications
  • Deliver hands-on day to day SAP production support

Required Qualifications:

Typically a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in SAP sales and distribution module and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 3+ years related work experience

  • Exposure to IT life cycle: Requirements/Analysis, Design, Specification, Code/Configuration, Development Testing, Change Management, Sustain, and Optimize
  • Solutions design expertise in Sales and Distribution areas
  • SAP SD activities, especially Billing, with integration awareness with HR, Project System, Controlling, and Finance modules
  • Successful track record of translating business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinker, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills, adding energetic input within a team environment.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Potential to assume responsibility for ad-hoc projects that may require manpower resources during critical times
  • Aerospace & Defense Industry Contract and Delivery experience
  • Working proficiency of DOD DFARS Contract and Billing Regulations
  • Functional experience across HR, Project, Controlling, and/or Finance modules
  • Fluent with Microsoft Tool Suite
  • Demonstrated project management and agile methodology proficiency
  • Possible Domestic Travel up to 25%
