Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary 

We are seeking a talented and experienced full-stack Software Engineer to join our team as a specialist in Dataflows and ETL process’s. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and building robust and efficient tools and high-end user interfaces that our customers use to create and edit data-flows and ETL processes. If you love building easy to use web interfaces, have a good understanding of ETL principles, and enjoy working with “Big Data”, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on our team.

Key Responsibilities                            

• Full stack design, develop, and high quality user interfaces and services used to create and edit data-flows and ETL processes;
• build high quality user interfaces;
• Collaborate and work closely with other engineers, PMs, and UX to develop well-thought-out, world-class product experience;
• Identify and implement best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the conversion process;
• Monitor and optimize dataflows and ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability;
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering and ETL processes, and proactively propose innovative solutions to improve our data conversion capabilities. 

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of strong UX-minded software development experience with modern JavaScript (ES6) libraries/frameworks, and demonstrated experience with Java or other server side languages; 
• Demonstrated proficiency with React.js, CSS3, and HTML5;
• Proficiency in SQL and expertise in working with relational databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server;
• Knowledge of and experience with RESTful web services patterns and practices;  
• Working knowledge in development tools and processes, such as source control, requirement spec, design and design review, debugging, unit test, system test, performance test, etc.;  
• Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies; 
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies; 
• Preferred experience with Typescript, Redux, React component design systems, and frontend data visualization libraries; 
• Preferred experience in developing and maintaining dataflows and ETL processes in a production environment and familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks;
• Preferred experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, for data manipulation and automation;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
