Description

Ceded Reinsurance Data & Claims Technician remote East Coast full-time  We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd’s, Europe and North America. Our Reinsurance Director is looking for a Ceded Reinsurance Data & Claims Technician to develop processes and analytics that will provide solutions and insights that contribute to reinsurance claims management and reporting. You’ll also own a claims caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting
• Conduct data analysis and cleansing to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform business strategies and improve overall performance
• Prepare regular monthly & quarterly reports for analysis by the Claims Team and senior management
• Design and develop management information reports using Excel and Power BI
• Present ceded reinsurance claims in an accurate and timely manner and address reinsurers’ / brokers’ queries 
• Analyzing and reviewing daily/monthly claims movements for XOL recovery and maintaining the internal reinsurance system to ensure correct contract positions are held, managing the erosion of available cover.
• Ensure ceded reserves and settlement requests have been input into reinsurance admin system accurately and set up ceded policies with supporting documentation 
• Credit Control functionality including cash collection and monitoring of aged debt. 


Candidate requirements;

• Right to work in this location
• Advanced data and MS Excel skills
• Credit Control functionality including cash collection and monitoring of aged debt.
• Ceded claims technical experience and knowledge. 
• Knowledge of key terms and conditions in contracts / policies and general knowledge of key legal positions in relevant jurisdictions. 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills 
• Recognized as proficient in their field of claims expertise.
• Customer service oriented and able to develop relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Ability to work analytically and independently.
• Good level of computer skills using MS Office as well as other systems
• Capable of working independently and meeting assigned deadlines.
