Senior SOAR Engineer

Currently we are looking for:

 

Senior SOAR Engineer to join the EY Romania team to support the lifecycle of detection content for the Cybersecurity Operations Center.

 

Job Summary: 

As a SOAR Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of the Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) platform such as developing, implementing and managing the automations, scripts and playbook content for the SOAR platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with security analysts and engineers to detect and address security gaps by implementing automation workflows that enhance security operations.
• Evaluate and enhance CSOC workflows and processes by integrating automation through SOAR tools and technologies.
• Deploy CSOC automations and ensure compatibility with existing detection and response tools.
• Create and implement custom scripts to automate current detection and response workflows.
• Operate and refine the SOC playbook and workflow automations.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Thorough understanding of security operations, in particular SOC, CSOC, or NOC environments.
• Proven experience in using automation and orchestration for incident response and threat hunting.
• Knowledge of advanced threat detection and response methodologies and tools such as SIEM and SOAR.
• Experience in scripting languages like BASH, PowerShell, and Python.
• Possession of cybersecurity certifications e.g., GPYC, CISSP, GCIH, GMON, GSOC
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of intrusion detection concepts and information security defense.
• Knowledge in current hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and security analysis techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in technical documentation development regarding security technologies.
• Global teamwork and collaborations skills
• Full proficiency in English, with excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Executive communication skills.
