Description Overview
We are currently looking for a Business Development Lead (Senior Manager) to join our Perrigo Marketing team in Grand Rapids, MI. This candidate will help drive growth and innovation across Perrigo’s Americas business, particularly OTC and Self-Care.
Identifies and analyzes business creating activities including Rx to OTC First Follow, acquisitions, whitespace and/or licensing opportunities. This role will use general OTC and consumer knowledge to identify and move forward meaningful product innovation for Perrigo.
Scope of the Role
- Leads Rx to OTC First Follow, acquisition or licensing projects, with focus on progression of pipeline projects (financial, regulatory, legal and commercial viability)
- Leads Company or platform whitespace for CSCA as lead market
- Project Leadership and/or execution of select Innovation projects
- Leads/manages a budget and tracking for all approved CSCA whitespace projects (expenses, filing fees, patent or legal, clinical studies, partnership expenses, innovation diligence)
- Partners and collaborates with Marketing team to advance retailer relationships and/or sales opportunities
- Communicates with manager/leadership significant variations from project plans and issues that materially impact the in-year budget or LRP financial expectations
- Identifies, negotiates and manages new Development, Supply, Licensing, and/or Asset Acquisitions agreements
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business or related field is required.
- A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible business experience in Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Must exhibit leadership potential and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and navigate complex problems and processes inherent to the development of OTC pharmaceuticals and related products.
- Ability to collaborate with technical cross-functional teams like Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Quality.
- Excellent financial acumen and project management skills necessary.
- Computer literacy and advanced skills in the use of MS Excel, Power Point, and Word are required.
- Requires self-motivation, inquisitiveness, detail orientation, and commitment to deadlines.
