Job Description:  This posting is for the Harvest Room Labor position which hangs live birds in a shackle. It is scheduled for 2nd Shift. It has a base pay rate of $19.25 per hour, with a $1 per hour shift premium. In addition, the team member can earn up to an additional $6 per hour incentive by maintaining excellent attendance.

Job Synopsis:  Located after the cage dumper, this is the first chain-driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg.  Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle.  Hang rate varies by bird weight.  All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back.  The hangers will place any DOA’s into DOA barrel at end of conveyor.

This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.  Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
