Position Overview
QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Security Classification Guide Specialist to support the C5ISR customers at our Fort Belvoir, VA customer site.
Responsibilities
- Developing and Evaluating Security Policies: Security specialists create, evaluate, and implement security program policies and directions. They contribute to the development of classification guidance, which outlines how information should be classified and handled.
- Classification Decisions: Some specialists directly make classification decisions, including original classification, declassification, downgrading, and upgrading. These decisions impact the level of protection assigned to specific information.
- Personnel Security: Personnel security specialists assess the suitability and security eligibility of individuals for sensitive positions. They determine security clearances for employees or other personnel who need access to sensitive information, resources, materials, or work sites.
- Provide support to the NATO control officer.
- Meet with directors, division chiefs, program managers, and SMEs on newly established programs for possible CPI
- Involved with the completion of a critical program information assessment (CPIA) to identify CPI in the newly established program
- assist in the initiating of program protection plans (PPPs) for the program.
- Identify and provide countermeasures as part of the PPP to protect this CPI at government and contractor facilities, and at test sites and ranges.
- Provide feedback and information concerning the programs CPI
- Continuous monitoring of all programs and the completion of all annual programs reviews.
- Support in numerous security aspects to include support to all NATO related information and aspects related to NATO
- Provide support to the C5ISR NATO control officer.
- Responsible for the completion of numerous standing operating procedures (SOPs) to include a NATO SOP to establish guidance to all personnel.
- Provide support to NATO meetings and functions.
- Consult and provide guidance to management and personnel in aspects of security to include information, NATO, and physical security.
- Support in the deployment of personnel in war support situations
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- 3-5 years experience
- Detail-oriented
- Able to multi-task
- Expert in MS Word
- Good oral and written communication skills
