About the role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Process/Production Engineer with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.  As the Process/Production Engineer you will be responsible for process and production engineering support in an active chemical manufacturing plant.

 At this time, we will only consider applications from (US) citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place.

  • Basic process/production engineering for the support and optimization of plant equipment and systems using knowledge and application of chemical engineering fundamentals
  • Ensure that process engineering is completed in a timely and efficient manner which meets the needs of the plant site
  • Report status of the tasks regularly
  • Co-ordinate with others to understand scope and schedule for all tasks and prioritize these as needed to complete each on time
  • Prepare process data supporting changes and documenting existing systems in the plant
  • Perform engineering calculations as needed
  • Document design decisions as data sheets and other documents
  • Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and of others who may be affected by you
  • Implement established procedures to ensure compliance to Quality and HSSE requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in Quality and HSSE and notify the relevant department
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 15+ years’ experience in process/production engineering for chemical manufacturing facilities
  • Good experience and skill set in the use of Microsoft’s suite of office products
