Asset Management Operations comprises of 400+ professionals based in seven centers across the globe. It consists of three broad functional areas, Trade Management, Portfolio & Data Control, & Client Implementation Management, all of which work in a dynamic environment where risk control, client service and excellence in execution are fundamental principles.
The Product Data team is central to our asset management operations, ensuring the accuracy and timely availability of critical data for investment decisions, risk management, and client reporting. Our responsibilities encompass validating, monitoring, and maintaining key economic and reference data, with a primary focus on Pricing, Data, and Benchmarks – all essential for precise client portfolio valuations.
This includes:
- Benchmark Management: The analysis and monitoring of benchmark availability, onboarding financial performance indexes from various providers, and the ongoing maintenance and analysis of the benchmark universe used in asset management. This involves close collaboration with market vendors, Technology, Client Onboarding, Portfolio Management, and Product teams.
- Security and Product Data Management: Creation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date security and product data, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all systems. This may include data cleansing, reconciliation, and the implementation of data governance policies.
- Pricing Data Management: Maintenance of accurate pricing data obtained from various vendors, ensuring data quality and consistency. This involves regular reconciliation and validation processes to identify and resolve discrepancies.
This analyst position will strengthen our five-person team based in The Hague, connecting you to our broader network of product data teams in Salt Lake City, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. You will collaborate with team members on data validation, coordinating closely with colleagues across Asset Management Operations, Technology, and AMD business units. The role demands strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Your responsibilities
- Closely monitor and validate index, product, and pricing data attributes crucial to GSAM investment decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date security and product data, ensuring data integrity across all systems.
- Ensure accurate valuation of securities by integrating vendor prices into investment systems, resolving pricing exceptions to support accurate NAV calculations and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve index, product, and pricing data issues affecting downstream systems.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Traders, Portfolio Teams, Trade Management, Controllers).
- Serve as the point of contact for GSAM business inquiries regarding product setup and pricing.
- Manage daily responsibilities, enhance project management skills, and contribute to key initiatives.
- Develop product and transaction expertise by working with business partners.
- Drive efficient process change management, assessing impact and ensuring successful implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree (Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Management)
- Understanding of asset management operations, with emphasis on product, pricing and benchmark data.
- Experience contributing to a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, effectively conveying information to various stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and adaptability to new software.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Alteryx, or similar coding skills (a plus).
