Lead Mobile Engineer – JLL

What this job involves: 

Assist the Operations Supervisor and/or Regional Operations Manager in directing the mobile engineering services operation and maintenance of all assigned buildings. You will provide direct support to field operations, performance metric tracking and reporting, and implement strategic material acquisition strategies. This leadership role combines hands-on technical expertise with supervisory responsibilities to ensure optimal facility operations across multiple locations, directly contributing to JLL's operational excellence and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Support preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports, prepare technical evaluations/deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components

  • Maintain staffing schedules, timekeeping and employment records for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling and execution of engineering/maintenance work

  • Run status and performance reports from JLL CMMS (Corrigo)

  • Plan schedule of work in accordance with established priorities and furnish engineers with basic data required in effecting overall and long range planning

  • Respond effectively to all emergencies and maintain and operate HVAC equipment and all associated equipment

  • Coordinate purchasing and inventory control procedures

  • Assist in Preventive Maintenance Program and all HVAC Building Automation Systems and organization of the Mobile Engineering Services (MES) team

Required Qualifications:

  • Universal EPA 608 Certification

  • Minimum of six (6) years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance and overall system design and application

  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer based applications and programs, including Word and Excel

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders

  • Ability to perform on call duties and overtime as required

  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application

  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology

  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities

  • Maintain liaison with Chief Engineer / Regional Operations Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates and priorities and estimates

  • Make recommendations for systems improvement and concerning Capital Projects

Location: Mobile position covering Sacramento, CA and surrounding area

Work Shift: 1st shift, ability to perform on call duties and overtime as required

Estimated compensation for this position:

135,582.00 – 169,478.40 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
