Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting teams in the construction of projects and ensuring project quality, schedule, cost control, safety, and customer objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides support to project managers for change orders, expediting logs, RFI logs, etc.
- Performs cost control and financial management by working with preconstruction on project estimate and schedule
- Coordinates scope of work
- Prepares and reviews submittals
- Reviews and compiles pay applications, change requests, and other project financial documentation
- Partners with Project manager to craft client proposals and award subcontracts
- Assists in contract administration and management
- Assists in employee time and recordkeeping
- Assists in coordinating work with project own representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors
- Participates in meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns
- Prepares correspondence as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of project.
- Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
- Secure material orders, assist superintendents with material orders.
Qualifications

- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
Education and Experience
- BSEE or Construction Management preferred, high school diploma required.
- 2+ years experience in electrical construction.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and leadership potential.
- Prior experience in electrical estimating a plus.
- Electricians license a plus.
- Strong Computer skills
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Accubid, and scheduling software
- Be able to perform accurate and organized take off from contract documents
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to use estimating software define the cost of any work to be performed.
- Working knowledge of electrical parts and their intended use.
- Working knowledge of general construction.
- Demonstrated safety leader and true believer in safety.
- Current and valid drivers license and clean driving record.
