SUMMARY:

• Oversee and train supervisors in various areas, including:

• Production documentation
• Yield management
• Time and attendance tracking
• Disciplinary procedures
• Motivation strategies
• Turnover reduction
• Absenteeism management
• Safety protocols
• Problem-solving initiatives

• Be accountable for performance in key areas, such as:

• Safety
• Quality
• Workers' compensation
• Turnover rates
• Bid movement
• Team Member morale

• Undertake additional duties as required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all production operations in assigned area,
• Manage production supervisors,
• Coordinate department production schedules,
• Implement product rotation, HACCP, and CCP verification schedules,
• Ensure daily completion and submission of time and attendance and disciplinary actions,
• Review supervisors and team members' performance and implement improvements where deficiencies exist,
• Provide clear and concise verbal and written directions to all levels of the organization,
• Read and comprehend reports and manuals, and complete required reports,
• Possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills,
• Demonstrate motivation to take on special projects,
• Ability to counsel, coach, and foster a "family-feel" culture for supervisors and team members,
• Basic understanding of HACCP principles,
• Perform CCP monitoring and verification,
• Access all areas of the production floor for audits and inspections,
• Tolerate environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 32 to more than 95 degrees with high humidity,
• Basic computer skills required, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Workday is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• One (1) or more years work experience in a Beef & Pork plant preferred. 
• One (1) or more years’ experience in a supervisory role in a Beef & Pork Plant is preferred.
