The Data Analyst 3 role on the Marketing Optimization and Analytics team is responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting data to improve decision making around marketing optimization. This includes, building reporting and dashboards, performing analysis of marketing impact using causal inference methods and designing experiments that measure marketing impact.
This individual should have a high degree of curiosity about the business and the skills to discover impactful insights from data. They should be able to communicate those insights in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.

A day in the life…
- Partner with key stakeholders to define success and develop measurement frameworks.
- Dive deep into complex business problems and provide insights on marketing channel performance through hypothesis testing, causal inference and experimentation.
- Responsible for delivering a suite of analytical products include analyses, dashboards, insights, and recommendations.
- Present the results to the stakeholders up to executive level and guide them to make the best use of analytics in their domain.
- Own the definition and implementation of new metrics.
- Work with marketing partners, such as Google, Meta and TikTok on setting up experiments to measure incrementality of marketing channels
- Find opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve overall marketing performance.
- Deliver high quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems both independently and through the collaboration with team members and business partners to drive outcomes.
- Bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise.
- Reconcile divergent demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment.
- Mentor more junior team members on analytics, storytelling and communication best practices.
- Use advanced analytical and statistical practices to create thorough and actionable insights.
- Actively collaborate to apply learning to other channels/campaigns/products/business units.
You own this if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field; advanced quantitative degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
- Strong coding skills in at least one statistical or programming language (R or Python preferred) to import, summarize, and analyze data.
- 3+ years of experience in extracting & manipulating large data sets from various relational databases using SQL (Amazon Redshift, Oracle, Teradata preferred).
- Previous marketing analytics experience is a must.
- Previous experience with causal inference, causal measurement, experimental design is a must.
- Experience with statistical and machine learning algorithms to address a business question from analysis through insights delivery (e.g. regression, classification and/or clustering).
- Strong proficiency with advanced graphics/visualization software/packages (e.g. R-Shiny, ggplot, plotly, matplotlib, Tableau, Looker Studio).
- Clear and effective written/verbal communication and strong interpersonal skil
