Description
The HR Coordinator will play a vital part in ensuring smooth people operations for the organization and will focus on payroll administration, benefits management, talent acquisition/onboarding, and compliance. This role will engage with team members across the organization and serve as a liaison for employees seeking assistance with all facets of HR.
Core Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and answering employee inquiries.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation and screenings are completed and orientations are scheduled.
- Conduct initial screening of candidates for administrative and support roles, including resume review, phone screens, scheduling interviews and facilitating communication with hiring managers.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
- Monitor and respond to shared team inbox, answering routine questions and forwarding or escalating more complex inquiries as needed.
- Support compliance efforts by tracking required certifications, licenses, and training.
- Assist with employee relations matters, responding to inquiries and escalating issues as needed.
- Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required, associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years prior HR experience preferred, prior experience in Healthcare HR a plus
Licenses/Certifications:
- HR certification (aPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
- Driver’s license and/or ability to commute between clinics as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Knowledge of payroll/HRIS platforms; familiarity with Paylocity is preferred

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about the office and occasionally transport items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., sitting at a desk)
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and other administrative tasks
- Ability to use standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier/printer
- Ability to read and interpret documents on a computer screen and/or in paper format
- Capable of communicating effectively in person, over the phone, and in written format
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms
- Able to participate in meetings and convey information accurately and professionally
- Work is performed in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels or from one’s home office
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for extended periods
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines

- Flexibility to occasionally work beyond standard business hours if necessary
