Senior Product Manager
OoklaAbout the role
We’re Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, Downdetector, and an ever-expanding suite of enterprise connectivity solutions. Our team is a group of people brought together through passion and inspired by possibility. We are looking for team members who enjoy solving complex problems, are motivated to challenge themselves, and are delighted with turning clever ideas into unique products.
Millions of consumer-initiated tests are performed through our products and billions of data points are collected globally every day. With all this measurement comes countless ways to dissect and analyze our data, and plenty of exciting opportunities to optimize our broader strategy. When you work for us, you are using Ookla data and insights to further our mission to improve connectivity for all.
Ookla’s network planning and optimization products utilize those measurements to deliver insights about network service to network operators, equipment manufacturers, telecom infrastructure companies, and regulators. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on product leader to help us better serve those clients, and improve network connectivity and performance for everyone. This role will work across the organization and with senior management; the ideal person is able to work seamlessly across teams to both be a bridge and driver.
We are committed to providing you a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. If you consider yourself innovative, adept at collaboration, and you care deeply about the work you do, we want to talk!
Expectations for Success:
- Be the subject matter expert on relevant markets, the competitive landscape, and the needs of our current and prospective clients.
- Work with stakeholders to shape the product vision in support of client needs and company goals; collaboratively develop and continuously communicate a rolling 6-18 month product roadmap to pursue that vision.
- Analyze and prioritize incoming feedback and feature requests from clients, partners, and internal stakeholders and balance those against strategic initiatives to ensure that we stay focused on projects with the greatest business impact.
- Serve as the Product Owner for specific network planning and optimization offerings, translating the product roadmap into an actionable, prioritized backlog of well-defined user stories for our Agile development team to execute against.
- Collaborate with our sales, support, and technology teams to help determine the best solutions, work through implementation issues, and strike a balance between “perfect” and “practical” to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Work across the organization to develop and execute go-to-market activities, including creation of pricing models, messaging, outreach campaigns, product documentation, and tools or materials for sales enablement and customer onboarding.
