Data Engineer

Work you’ll do 

We are seeking an Data Developer with a strong background in ETL development to join our existing data integration team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various programming languages like Java and have experience with cloud platforms. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our data infrastructure to ensure seamless data operations and integration.

• Services Management: Maintain and manage data services including Glue, S3, RDS, and Athena to support data receiving, integration, and manipulation processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams to understand requirements and develop enhancements to existing AWS Glue scripts using Python.
• Monitoring and Performance: Perform system and application monitoring, logging, and performance analysis to ensure optimum performance and availability.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and services.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the AWS infrastructure and services.
• Integration: Integrate AWS services with Salesforce as part of the overall solution.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize IaC for deployments to streamline and automate infrastructure management.
• Security: Implement additional security infrastructure as part of the migration process.

Qualifications 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Typically has 2 or more years of consulting and/or industry experience 
• Ability to work independently, under general guidance 
• Ability to lead project deliverables through to completion
• Experience working in a team environment
• Professional oral and written communication skills 
• Relevant software or application skills to complete job successfully 
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role 
• Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
