Job Description
Brightspeed is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Compensation Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will collaborate with the Incentive Compensation Manager to manage compensation, to include developing an understanding of plan agreements, risk assessment, procedures, and monitoring. The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst will also work with key stakeholders and the Compensation Manager to design and manage compensation models and plans. The ideal candidate will have an in depth understanding of Compensation, with a track record in designing and implementing effective compensation models/plans, excellent project management skills, and experience in data analytics. As Senior Sales Compensation Analyst your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with administration of incentives, reporting, annual planning, and monthly accruals
- Providing support to create, implement, and development new compensation strategies for the sales team on an annual basis
- Using metrics and models to understand current and predict trends that support incentive compensation
- Conducting incentive compensation analysis and position benchmarking for incented employees to assist in evaluating incentive compensation payout structure
- Modifying compensation structures and conducting an analysis of roles in response to changing organizational needs, and departmental structure.
- Managing timeliness and quality of recurring and ad hoc reports in support of monthly and quarterly sales compensation
- Developing subject matter expertise, proactively sharing knowledge, use of tools, processes and methodologies established and effectively engaging in more complex research, data collection and analytics
- Collaborating with the Incentive Compensation Team to define the Sales Compensation business model in support of optimizing associated technologies, policies, processes, and tools
- Interacting with end users to better understand incentive compensation issues and provide recommendations to help improve the incentive compensation process
- Developing robust sales tracking and reporting approaches to allow validation of sales, budgets, monthly, quarterly, and annual payments, and accruals
- Facilitating education on incentive plans to key stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement by actively seeking and suggesting plan improvements using data and analytics to discern if plans are driving the correct behavior to reach stated goals
- Assisting with planning and implementing new commission reporting tool.
- Developing a clear understanding of peer responsibilities and assisting with tasks on an as needed basis
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- 5-7 years of proven compensation analysis experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity to solve business problems that includes data-driven analytics
- Solid analytical, modeling, and presentation skills, in depth knowledge of compensation
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to assist with creating meaningful, understandable models and reports.
- Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, complex formula writing, macros, charts, graphs)
- Excellent time and project management skills, always looking to improve inefficient processes
