Job Description

As a Security Officer Hotel Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious hotel and resort location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Your presence and regular patrols will contribute to the overall guest experience, as you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while addressing any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel or resort property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist guests, visitors, and staff with inquiries and directions as needed, providing a courteous presence throughout the location.
• Collaborate with hotel or resort management and Allied Universal team members to support security-related operations and special events.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
