The Opportunity
The Engineer will provide engineering leadership and expertise to support new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools. Senior Electrical and Software Engineer will apply engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.
What You’ll Work On
1. Develops new design features as part of existing systems. Delivers engineering information and solutions which adds value to the decision-making process.
2. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.
3. Performs lay out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function.
4. Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities and remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Collaborates with cross -functional teams developing and executing tests, performing root cause analysis and participating in investigations.
5. Initiates the planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing of engineering work, and may oversee the performance of less experienced engineers. Performs technical studies. Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents, and tabulates results, and provides reports.
6. Subject matter expert and provides direction on issues, topics, and/or project leadership. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
7. Applies theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles. Helps establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on "design for manufacturability".
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum 6 years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed.

- Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management and specialized applications.
- Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
