Michelin has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Team Leader – Warehouse. This is permanent full-time position. Working days and hours will primarily be Monday through Friday, 3pm – 1130pm.
General Description:
This will be a working team leader position. The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the work of others to produce and maintain daily goals, resolving issues that arise using problem solving techniques and communicating product and employee concerns to the leadership. This position will be 50% working in the warehouse (Loading/Unloading Trailers, moving material with mobile equipment, etc.) 50%-warehouse support / coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute daily activities and assignments using the TLBO Method of Management.
- Manage the daily assignments in the department and ensure appropriate execution of those assignments.
- This person will be expected to know all positions (Including Shipping & Receiving) within the department and cover for breaks and/or absences.
- Install ownership and accountability in team members.
- Clearly and effectively communicate expectations and production goals and objectives.
- Monitor and coordinate the flow of materials into the cell as needed and report, and anticipate concerns, inefficiencies and shortages.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, safety, performance, product quality and cell efficiency.
- Monitor all warehouse storage for proper part identification and assure that FIFO is being practiced.
- Maintain all fixed part locations and address system and make changes as needed.
- Understand, communicate and enforce safety regulations and requirements applicable to shipping/receiving and warehouse.
- Complete, encourage and support team participation in our QCPC program and support the Lean culture.
- Coordinate the development and training of all new employees assigned to the department and ensures that all cycle times are met.
- Demonstrated ability to isolate a problem and work toward resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute work in a timely manner.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, able to multi-task, and works with minimum supervision.
- Team player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others when assistance is needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support the EMS, QMS & H&S systems.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2-5 years’ experience in shipping/receiving & material handling.
- Fork truck experience.
- Knowledge of & proficient in all Microsoft programs.
- Strong knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
