Job Description Summary:
In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that PayPal effectively supports specialized verticals in a responsible and scalable manner through rigorous ongoing monitoring, diligent review processes, and the implementation of robust risk management strategies. This includes continuously assessing and mitigating potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity. You will engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders to conduct oversight and testing of merchants on an ongoing basis. You will be instrumental in preventing the exploitation of PayPal’s services for illicit purposes and ensuring compliance with complex financial industry legal requirements in areas such as brand risk management (BRM), anti-money laundering (AML), counter terrorist financing (CTF), financial intelligence, and suspicious activity/matter reporting (SAR/SMR).You will work in close collaboration with multiple areas of the company across PayPal’s global footprint. This role will require a candidate that can work well as a team and as a sole contributor to address specific needs of the BRM program and of our business areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate content within specific verticals to ensure compliance with PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Identify and flag content that violates our policies and take appropriate action in collaboration with key partners.
- Conduct thorough Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations to identify patterns, trends, and typologies impacting PayPal and the global user community.
- Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality while conducting investigations and handling sensitive information.
- Prepare detailed reports and readouts for senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Facilitate collaboration on cross-functional matters with a BRM-component, including interaction with internal stakeholders such as Public Relations, Legal, Compliance/AML, Global Investigations, Analytics etc.
- Identify opportunities for automation to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Staying apprised of regulatory changes globally to assist in determining impacts to PayPal and driving program changes.
- Conduct onsite visits with merchants to assess their controls and compliance frameworks.
