This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

Job Description Summary
Investment Manager selection and monitoring is a key role within our investment team, responsible for identifying, evaluating and overseeing asset managers for our investment portfolios.As an Investment Analyst, you will work closely with senior investment professionals to ensure the selection of high-performing investment managers and the continuous monitoring of their performance to meet our distribution channel’s objectives. You’ll need a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and due diligence processes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential subadvisors or third party funds, including qualitative and quantitative assessments.
Analyze investment strategies, performance track records, risk management processes, and organizational structures of investment mangers.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for the selection of subadvisors or third party funds.
Continuously monitor the performance of investment managers against benchmarks, peers and predefined criteria.
Conduct regular reviews and analysis of performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Builds investment knowledge and experience to represent the business segments in the development of investment portfolios or investment strategies.
Reviews industry trends to identify and monitor top investment managers/funds to determine their effectiveness within the products of the supported groups.
Builds understanding of NF businesses and use of sub-advisor relationship development techniques.
Uses vendor software (Evestment, Morningstar, Factset, etc.) to conduct performance comparisons, search for best products and perform advanced statistical analysis.
Ensure thorough documentation of the subadvisor selection process, performance evaluations, and ongoing monitoring activities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Investment Professional or Executive.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
Experience: 3 years related experience in Financial Services investment management.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of investment, finance, economic practices and performance measurement and style analysis. Ability to analyze sub-advisor data of and make recommendations regarding quality and appropriateness. Verbal and written communication skills for contact with all levels of management or external entities. Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
