Senior Accountant - Hybrid

We are supporting our client, an accounting firm based in South Tampa, seeking a Senior Accountant to grow with their team. 

Schedule:
This position is full time with additional hours required during peak times such as year end and during a client’s external audit.

Location: 
Hybrid position after the first 6 months or upon completion of training. The primary office is in south Tampa with an office in St. Petersburg. Travel to various client locations within the Tampa Bay area as needed as well.

Job Description

• Provide outsourced accounting and consulting services to multiple clients simultaneously
• Maintain general ledger for clients
• Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses 
• Prepare journal entries, monthly financial statements, and audit schedules
• Drive process improvements and implement new systems to streamline tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years public accounting experience
• Experience in working with small/mid size companies
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related
• Experience and knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
• Self-starter – candidate is expected to manage client relationship without direct supervision and have the ability to work independently
• Highly organized & detail oriented - candidate is expected to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
